Experience the thrill of flying a real vintage biplane from the days when cockpits were open and helmets were leather! When airborne, your instructor will invite you to take the controls. At the end you will be awarded with a Certificate.

Our De Havilland Tiger Moths give you a real feel for the old days. This is real vintage biplane flying from the days when cockpits were open and helmets were leather!

With a Tiger Moth Flight experience voucher you will receive a 30 minute briefing before the 40 min Tiger Moth flight, and also the loan of leather helmet, goggles and genuine Irvin jacket. When airborne, your instructor will invite you to handle the controls of the Tiger Moth and experience the thrill of flying one of these beautiful old machines. A Tiger Moth Trial Lesson Flight certificate will be awarded afterwards.

40mn Tiger Moth Flights With Aerobatics

The joy of aviating over the patchwork of Kent in a 1930’s Tiger Moth is a once in a lifetime experience, and a secret schoolboy dream of many.
Helmet and goggles supplied!

The lucky recipient of this gift will have the opportunity to have a go at flying a classic vintage biplane under expert supervision.

Loop the loop or barrel roll watched by family friends (not compulsory!) and rest assured that the instructor will be a high hour professional pilot with years of experience on the Tiger Moth.

This busy but charming wartime airfield has much to offer the spectator, including parachuting, aerobatics, a museum, excellent cafe and ample free parking.

This experience will last a total of 65 minutes, with ca. 30 minutes spent in the air.

45mn Tiger Moth Flights

Picture the scene. You arrive at Sherburn Aero Club to be met by one of the Tiger Moth Team. As you are taken through to the lounge area you catch a glimpse of 'The Moth' sitting on the grass in all her splendour amidst a myriad of modern aircraft and helicopters. She is unmistakable decked out in camouflage, and displays with pride her original RAF serial number T-7909 and roundel. You have indeed reported for your first lesson in this classic trainer of the 1930's! After your pre-flight briefing it's time to don flying suit, jacket and helmet and leave the clubhouse where your 'Moth' awaits. As you climb into the cockpit you turn and wave to your friends and relatives who have accompanied you on this momentous occasion, before taking to the skies. You are about to embark upon your own Tiger Moth Experience and enter the world of aviation as it used to be providing you with memories you'll be talking about for years to come, quite unlike any other. So, now that your appetite is whetted you'll want to know what is on offer and what it all costs. All lessons include day membership to the Sherburn Aero Club which offers a licensed bar and restaurant facilities, ideal for post-flight refreshments. It also offers an outdoor seated area where your friends and relatives can sit and watch you enjoy your Experience and also watch the comings and goings of the other aircraft that visit the club.

This experience will last a total of 60 minutes, with ca. 45 minutes spent in the air.
