Soar through the skies in a thrilling Extra 300, the aircraft equivalent to a F1 racing car!

Tail chase through the skies in an adrenalin-fuelled blast in where you get to go head to head with your opponent. Powered by a 300bhp Lycoming engine, the Extra 300 is an ultra light weight, state of the art, high technology display aircraft. During your thrilling flight you'll be able to take the controls and experience the manoeuvring capabilities of the 300, fly basic aerobatics and learn how to tail chase, if that wasn't enough you'll also be playing 'shoot the bandit' whilst airborne!

In planes that, until recently were used by the Swedish Airforce, take to the skies over England with a fully qualified instructor to put the quick and manoeuvrable Bulldog through its paces. Following a detailed safety and technical briefing, a formation take off, aerobatic flying and a formation loop are just some of the possibilities during your 30 minute flight. The real highlight is the opportunity to tail chase one of the other planes, just like you have seen it done in the films!

This experience is extremely safe and all instructors are either current or former RAF pilots but you must listen to their instructions at all times and complete a medical declaration before flying. The operators are fully insured for both pubic liability and personal risks. You will be able to fly the aircraft at all times other than the take off and landing stages

40 mn Extra 300 Aircraft Aerobatic Flights

LOCATIONS:

Take to the skies for an unbelievable flight in an incredible Extra 300 aerobatics aircraft.

Your activity starts with tea and coffee and then you are kitted out into flying suits with name badges, military bone-domes and gloves. Next it's time to get to know your aircraft with a safety brief at the aircraft in which you will be told about the cockpit controls. During your pre-flight briefing, lasting approximately 1 hour, you will cover a safety/parachute brief, how to fly the aircraft, aerobatics and an introduction to air combat manoeuvres. You will also be shown a short video. Moving onto your personal sortie pre-brief with instructor pilot, you will discuss your flight preferences. Out of the brief and into your parachute! After your out brief you are finally ready to take to the skies, indulging in 40 minutes (30 minutes airborne) in the aircraft. You sit in front of the aircraft, and your instructor sits in the back. Your time in the aircraft will include: - Formation take-off (2 aircraft) - Formation close manoeuvring in the climb - Demonstration of effects of controls and aerobatics manoeuvres - Student ‘hands on stick’ time chance fly do basic aerobatics - Student tail chase with other aeroplane - Formation Loop (as desired by student) - Student flies Return to Base break to land (if conditions allow) After exiting the aircraft and your personal debrief with the instructor pilot, your experience will come to an end with your flight certificate being signed. Only now can you catch your breath.
