The
E-3 Sentry is an airborne warning and control system
(AWACS) airplane that provides all-weather surveillance,
command, control and communications needed by commanders
of U.S. and NATO air defense forces. The E-3 Sentry
is a modified Boeing 707/320 commercial airframe with
a rotating, 30' diameter radar dome. This 1/100 scale
model is 181/2" in length with a 171/2"
wingspan. These beautifully crafted models are all
hand-made, hand painted and detailed. Built in Philippine
mahogany, each model comes ready to display on the
included mahogany base. |

Plastic Model Kit
Developed
from the Boeing 707 passenger airliner, the E-3 AWACS
(Airborne Warning and Control System) is the most
advanced airborne radar platform in the world. Its
mission is to identify potentially hostile air or
surface vehicles and direct friendly airplane to intercept
them. The E-3 is easily identified by the huge rotodome
mounted on the rear of the fuselage. In addition to
the USAF, E-3's are used by the British and French
air forces. Detailed plastic kit features recessed
panel lines, realistic cockpit with seats and instrument
panel, optional position landing gear, and engine
pods with fan fronts and exhaust nozzles. Optional
engine pods for US Air Force and French Air Force
versions. Rotodome rotates if desired. Includes 120
pieces and choice of markings. 241/2" wingspan
when assembled. |
