The Skystreaks were turbojet-powered airplane that took off from the ground under their own power and had straight wings and tails. All the skystreaks were initially painted scarlet, which lead to the nickname "crimson test tube." The Skystreaks were ideal first-generation, simple, transonic research airplanes. Made of Philippine mahogany, this 1/32 scale model measures 131/4" in length and has a wingspan of 91/2". These beautifully crafted models are all hand-made, hand painted and detailed. Each model comes ready to display on the included mahogany base.
