Ford 4-AT-15 Tri-Motor
Die Cast Model - Admiral Byrd
This
1/72 scale model replicates Admiral Byrd's 1928 Ford
Model 4-AT-15 that successfully flew to the South
Pole in 1929. Specially modified for the trip with
a more powerful nose engine, thinner skin, celluloid
windows and an extra fuel tank in the passenger compartment,
this airplane is now displayed at the Henry Ford Museum.
Die cast metal model features moveable propellers,
skis, and authentic markings from the South Pole flight.
