Hindenburg Balsa Kit
Built in 1936, the Hindenburg,
at 803' in length, was the largest airplane ever to
fly. Carrying over 7 million cubic feet of gas and
powered by four engines, the Hindenburg pioneered
transatlantic passenger air service, traveling thousands
of miles before her tragic end in 1937. This balsa
wood kit features laser-cut lite plywood bulkheads,
contest quality balsa, formed plastic detail parts,
and covering tissue. Display model is 48" in
length with an 8" diameter; assembly required. |
