Sopwith Camel Display
Model Called the Camel
because of the humped fairing over its twin machine
guns, the Sopwith Camel is credited with downing 1,294
enemy airplane in World War I. Worthy of a museum,
this scale replica of the famed fighter is both a
dramatic display model and a work of art. A true recreation
of the legendary biplane, this Camel has the originals'
silk stretched frame, fabric covered wings and tail
section, metal faux engine, and spinning wooden propeller.
Fine features include leather-trimmed cockpit, authentic
markings and visible wing ribs. Impressive 291®2"
wingspan and 19" length make the precision details
and built-in quality easy to see. Perfect for home
or office, the compliments are sure to fly! Model
takes just a few minutes of assembly before it's ready
to display. |

Sopwith Camel F.1 1/32
Plastic Model Kit The
Camel was perhaps the best Allied fighter of WWI,
successfully downing 1,924 airplane in only 16 months
of fighting. It was known for being extremely agile
and for having a fast rate of climb, and perhaps most
notably, the great Baron von Richthofen fell to the
guns of a 209 Squadron RAF Camel flown by Canadian
Roy Brown in 1918. Plastic kit of this fighter features
detailed cockpit interior and engine compartment,
and includes authentic markings. Approximately 101/2"
wingspan; assembly required. |
