50 years in Maritime Patrol Excellence.

flown by Patrol Squadron Nine and many other ASW squadrons

Marlin's Milieu
Don Feight. The Martin P5M Marlin was the follow-on
airplane to the Martin PBM Mariner and the last operational
flying boat used by the U.S Navy as well as the last
production airplane built my Martin. Primarily designed
to hunt and destroy the USSR's cold war submarine
threat, Marlins also saw service in the Vietnam War
- mainly as a patrol airplane - and were finally retired
from the U.S. Coast Guard in 1967. 28"x 22"

Ruler of the Sea II
Don Feight. The Lockheed Neptunes were land-based
patrol airplane specifically designed for anti-submarine
warfare. Designed and built in the 1940s and '50s,
they were among the last generation of piston-engine
airplane to fly for the U.S. Navy. One of the many
unheralded airplane that were "Cold War Warriors,"
Neptunes operated well into the 1970s until they were
eventually replaced by newer P-3 Orions. Limited edition
