Circus Outbound
Keith Ferris. B-24Ds of the American pioneer 93rd Bomb Group climb through 21,000 feet into the light of the early morning sun. On this day, March 18, 1943, the B-24Ds, joined by B-17s and other bombers, crossed the East Coast of England en route to their target, the submarine base at Vegesack, Germany. This first mission to Germany for the 93rd Bomb Group proved that daylight bombing could be carried out successfully in the face of German defenses. Limited edition of 1,000 signed and numbered by the artist. 39"x 19?" print.

$149.00

Ruhr Valley Invaders
Nicolas Trudgian. Arriving at high speed over the busy German rail yard in the heart of the Ruhr Valley, barely skimming the nearby factory chimney stacks on the way into the target, the A-26 crews of the 386th deliver a devastating blow, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. With bombs away, the Invader crews strafe the area with their battery of ten forward-firing .5inch machine guns, the roar of their twin 2,000hp engines heightening the tension and confusion on the ground. Too Little, Too Late

$39.95

Too Little Too Late
Stan Stokes. The jet-powered Me 262 fighter was fast and could easily outrun Allied fighters. Unfortunately from the German perspective, it arrived on the scene too late and in too few numbers to impact the outcome of the war. Here we see it attacking a late-model B-24 in 1945. 16"x 11?" signed and numbered limited edition print.

Give Us this Day
William Phillips. The B-17G is a subtle indication as to the direction of the war: the plane carries no camouflage paint since paint added weight, which cost speed and fuel. Stationed in Northamsted from April '44, this B-17G is from the 398th Bomb Group, 602nd Bomb Squadron. Along with most others, the crew member's ardent prayer was, "...give us this day." 30"x 24" limited edition print is signed and numbered by the artist.

The jets were chased off by P-47s that were escorting the bombers and there were no losses. Limited edition print measures 25"x 19" and is signed and numbered by the artist.

Me 163 Komet
Tony Weddel. A B-17 Flying Fortress named "Outhouse Mouse" from the 91st Bombardment group was knocked out of formation by an Fw 190 and a Bf 109, and was soon attacked by a flight of two Komets. Only the evasive maneuvers of the B-17 pilot and the intervention of P-51s from the 359th Fighter Group saved the bomber to fight another day. Signed by Me 163 pilot Rudy Opitz. 23"x 19" print.
