invention. He is framed by vignettes of the flying
inventions of the ensuing centuries - beginning with
the De Lana of 1670 and continuing with other noted
aviation luminaries such as Zeppelin in 1909, Lindbergh
in 1927 and culminating with the then state-of-the-art
DC-4 centered above him. This first edition lithograph
