Douglas World Cruiser
Wooden Model The modified
DT-2 bomber became known as the Douglas World Cruiser
when four of them took flight in March, 1924. 175
days later, these sturdy airplane completed their
circumnavigation of the globe on the first around-the-world
flight. Made of Philippine mahogany, this 1/32 scale
model measures 143/4" in length and has a wingspan
of 19".

Wooden Model What better way to celebrate early
aviation than with this model of Boeing's very first
airplane - the B&W. Built in 1916 and initially
flown by William Boeing himself, the two built were
offered to the U.S. Government but ultimately ended
